A Rest Day in Keswick

This blogspot has been moved to my own personal domain.

I have been finding this app quite tedious to use and so decided to give up on it

and move everything to a new place.

A rest day, chance for my feet to recover. A leisurely breakfast at the Youth Hostel, then a stroll into town, followed by a hasty retreat to chance from shorts into long trousers and grab my coat. Although the sun was shining, there was a cold breeze. I sat in the park on a sheltered bench for a while, updating my blog and drinking tea. I decided to head on down to the lake, buying a traditional Cornish pasty on the way.

This is Crow Park on the edge of Derwentwater looking across to Catbells. Keswick is by far and away one of my most favourite places, possibly the most favourite. Mark will be joining me on Friday or Saturday for a week in Keswick. We will be adding to our Wainwrights tally, more hills 😁 and beer 🍻
The jets are flying today, very hard to grab a photo. I sat here for ages and ate my pasty, then took a stroll down to the jetties where I bought a lush ice cream and then over to Friar's Crag. People were queuing up to take photos at the popular spot, I decided I have enough photos of that already. 😁
Back to Crow Park to relax in the sun and watch the world go by.
